Jennifer Messier

I have been a REALTOR® at Schembra Real Estate Group for over 30 years, joining the firm three months after arriving on Hilton Head Island.  In 1993, Highway 278 was a two-lane road with one stoplight, and luggage was claimed on the metal shelves  outside at the Hilton Head Airport.  My two young daughters at the time, Rachel and Kathleen, were raised in Palmetto Dunes, telling extended family members who were in awe about our amenities: tennis court, golf course, swimming pool, and three miles of award-winning beach. Hilton Head Island quickly evolved into so much more.  The live oaks and magnolia trees, the abundance of wildlife and dolphins, the magnificent sunrises and sunsets, amazing days on the water, and the vibrant community all contributed to a unique sense of belonging and shared purpose as our children and the Island grew.

I was raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, as one of four children.   It was only a short time before every member of my immediate family would spend significant time on the Island. With fishing, boating, golfing and the beach all within a 15-minute drive, the ability to enjoy outdoor activities year-round was a tremendous gift.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degreee from Pepperdine University in California and spent 13 years as the Seasonal General Manager at Runaway Hill Inn, a family-owned boutique hotel on Harbour Island in the Bahamas.  As a REALTOR, I believe that getting to know my customers helps direct them to properties that provide the lifestyle they desire.  I am grateful to my repeat customers and the Schembra Family for their friendship and ongoing support.
